Lyric Apps On Spotify
For online music streaming, Spotify is a great choice. It is available on most devices, and has over 75 million current users. You can stream music for free or get a premium subscription with added features. Spotify has recently added another great feature to its already amazing desktop app.
Did you know that you can also get the lyrics of your favorite songs right on the Spotify desktop app? Spotify has partnered with Musixmatch to power this new feature and so far, lyrics of more than 9 million songs are available and more are being added.
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to access and use the newly added lyrics feature of Spotify.
Download and install the Musixmatch app from the Windows store to your Windows. You should find it in the All Apps area of the Start menu on Windows, then open Musixmatch. Launch Spotify on your computer and start playing a song. Finally, the lyrics will appear in the. Spotify Apps offers several popular apps, including ShareMyPlaylists (SMP), which is now available as an integrated app within Spotify, and TuneWiki, the database of song lyrics that syncs up to the Spotify music in real time. How to use ShareMyPlaylists with Spotify Before it was integrated into Spotify with Spotify Apps, you could use ShareMyPlaylists. Verse - An active lyric finder with additional features to make your spotify experience better. Features:- 1) Shows lyrics Uses spotify's in-built broadcast stream to detect the song played on spotify and displays the lyrics. 2) Mute Ads Want to listen to Spotify ads? Then use the Ad Block feature to mute spotify ads. Verse runs in the background and mutes music volume when a Spotify ad.
Access Lyrics on Spotify
Spotify’s partnership with Musixmatch ended a few years ago. However, the Musixmatch app, available on all devices, will still detect your Spotify music and display its lyrics. Sing it with Spotify! See the lyrics of many of your favorite tracks as they’re sung (or rapped, or screamed). Note: Lyrics may not be available on all songs. Mobile and tablet. Play a song and open the Now playing view. Tap LYRICS at the bottom. Tap again for a full screen view. Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. Spotify is all the music you’ll ever need. Before we get started, you should know that this feature is only available on the desktop client of Spotify. It is not available on mobile versions of the app, but may get integrated if the desktop feature is a success.
To access the Lyrics, you first need to play a song for which you would like to see the lyrics. You can just search for the song or play one from your playlist. Next to the music player, you will see a new button “Lyrics”. Just click on it and the lyrics of the current song will appear in the middle of the app.
You will see currently playing lines highlighted, and the next lines right below them. The new lines will be highlighted as soon as they are played, and with a quite accurate timing.
Interacting with Lyrics
Now that you can see the lyrics, it is time to customize some options for a better experience. On the bottom left side of the playing Lyrics, you will see an option of “Settings”, click on it. Here you can specify the size of the lines according to your comfort. You can also turn on/off the background if you think it is a bit distracting.
You will also see a button “EDIT LYRICS”, which will actually let you edit the lyrics. If you think that the lyrics are not correct or the play time and lyrics displayed are not synced properly, you can easily edit it. You will be provided with all the instructions to edit the lyrics, all you need to do is do it right. However, make sure you know what you are doing and can edit it accurately.
If you do find a problem and don’t want to edit it yourself, you also have the option to report it. Just click on “Report” right next to “EDIT LYRICS” option and you will see three problems to report. Wrong Lyrics, Wrong Timing and Wrong Photos, just select what is wrong and it will be reported.
You can also interact with lyrics shown just like any other text, you can easily highlight any part and even copy it.
Spotify on mac sounds different. A subtly different, but definitely different version (some lyrics are removed and it's about 30 seconds shorter). The song is 'What A Catch, Donnie' by Fall Out Boy. If you fast forward to about 4 minutes, there use to be some lyrics there that went 'where is your married man, I hope he is a gentleman, maybe he won't find out (fade) we're going.

It also keeps a track of recently viewed lyrics and comes with light and dark themes. Further, you also get Chromecast support. The only drawback of the app is that it’s not free. It is a subscription-based service with a free trial of 14 days.

The app actually lives up to its name – QuickLyric. The moment you play a song, it will show its lyrics. That’s because it fetches lyrics for all the songs on your device. Thanks to this, the app also has offline support. An open source app that also lets you search for lyrics in more than 12 languages including English, Russian, Japanese, and Hindi etc.
Further, one of the coolest thing about the app is that shows lyrics in a floating window. While doing other things on your phone, you can also check the lyrics simultaneously. You can use the built-in split-screen mode of Android, in case you don’t like the floating window.
The app supports scrolling or synchronized lyrics. You also get a bonus feature of identifying songs. For instance, if you hear a song in a cab and want to know its lyrics, just tap the Identify Lyrics button in the app and it will do the dirty work for you.
Again, you can use the Android’s built-in song detector also to identify songs on your phone. This app doesn't have an inbuilt music player though.

You can directly play songs from inside this app. For external players, you get a floating lyrics widget. Tap it to view lyrics on any screen. Besides the song identification feature, this app also provides a wide variety of information for the songs.
You can also translate lyrics in real time. Like the Lyrics Mania app, you get a similar feature where you can create quotes from lyrics. This is known as LyricsCard in the Musixmatch app.
